How does meetMoi work? First, create your profile and add a photo. If you have a supported smart phone, you can choose to update your location in real-time. When a match comes near you, get an alert. Use your phone to browse profiles of people near you. When you find someone you like, send an Email, a wink, or an IM.
What do I need to use the service? All you need is a mobile phone that can access the internet.
How do I know if my phone has internet access? If you can access sports scores, download ring tones, get news updates, or anything else requiring outside data access, then your phone has internet access.
What does meetMoi cost? meetMoi is no cost to try. At no charge, you can create a profile, view other profiles and respond to chat requests from other members. For premium membership, we charge $9.99/month ($6.99 on Boost). Premium members can send messages and initiate instant chats with other members. Premium members also get priority placement in our search results. meetMoi is 100% free for all international/non-US members. Your carrier's data rates may apply.
Why does meetMoi ask for my mobile number? We need your number to send text messages to your phone. You get a text when there is a new message or wink in your Inbox. Go to Settings to adjust your number of text messages.
How does meetMoi know my location? meetMoi uses Xtify's technology to privately extract your location from your cell phone in real-time. Otherwise, you can always enter you location manually.
What is Xtify? Xtify is a free service that powers the location updates of meetMoi. It runs in the background of your cell phone so your location updates all the time.
What information about my location is disclosed? Your actual location is never disclosed. By default, other members view your approximate distance from them. If you want to share more or less information, go to your Settings.
Who sees my exact location? By default, no one sees your exact location. If you want to share your exact location, go to your Settings.
How do I stay safe on meetMoi? Do not include your address or phone number in your public description. The only place your current address appears is on your home page, which only you can view.
How do I stay safe on a meetMoi date? Agree to meet at a public locatoin. Tell a friend or family member where you are meeting and when you plan on returning.
Will my information be sold to third parties for studies, surveys, or marketing purposes? No, meetMoi will never share or sell this information.

How does meetMoi choose potential matches? meetMoi chooses matches based on who is near you and who matches your preferences. You can also sort members who are closest to you or online now.
What is a Message? A message is like an e-mail. It is a way to communicate with another member. Remember that your phone number and exact location are never revealed. You will only receive a message alert if you have selected the option in Settings.
What is a Wink? A Wink is a quick way to flirt with another member without sending a message. It is an instant and good-natured way to communicate. You will only receive a wink alert if you have selected the option in Settings.
Can anyone send a wink? Yes, even non-premium members can send winks. Just make sure you have a photo.
What happens when I send a message or a wink? Your message or wink appear in that member's Inbox. That member also receives an SMS notification.
What does it mean if I block someone? That member can no longer contact you or browse your profile. That member is never notified of your block.
What happens when I flag someone as inappropriate? We appreciate your feedback and will investigate the situation. The member is not notified of your flag.
I am receiving unwanted messages. What should I do? Block that member or flag the member as offensive.
What does meetMoi cost? meetMoi is free to sign-up. As a non-premium member, you can create a profile, browse profiles and reply to messages that other members initiate. If you want to initiate your own messages and access other premium features, you need to upgrade to premium membership. Premium membership is $9.99/month ($6.99 on Boost) and is free for all non-US members.
How do I deactivate my account? Text STOP to 94810 to cancel your account and stop all text messages. If you just want to stop your text messages, go to Settings. Do not text STOP as this will cancel your entire account.
How do I upload a photo? From your phone, take a picture, and send it as an MMS or an email to photo@meetmoi.com. From your computer, go to www.meetmoi.com, and add a photo.
Can I upload more than one photo? Yes, we encourage you to upload multiple photos.
What type of photos are appropriate? Any photo that clearly distinguishes your face and is in good taste. Please see photo guidelines on your photo page.
What does my status mean? Your status is your current activity or what you're looking to do. For example, "I'm looking for a coffee partner."
What are my Notification Settings?
- What type of text message notifications should go to your phone
- What time of day text messages should be sent
- Maximum number of daily texts you want to receive
What types of notifications will meetMoi send me? meetMoi sends you notifications about new messages, winks, and date radar alerts of members near you.
Can I limit the number of text messages I receive? Yes. You can specify the maximum number per day. Go to Settings.
What if I don't want to receive text messages from meetMoi while at work?Under the Notification section of your account settings, you can specify when you want to receive text messages from meetMoi. Do not text the word STOP as that will cancel your entire meetMoi account.
What is Xtify
Xtify is a piece of software that you put on your cell phone to update your location as you move from place to place.
On what phones can I install Xtify? Xtify is supported on the following phone platforms:

- Symbian 9.2 and higher
- More platforms coming soon...
Do I need GPS on my phone to download Xtify? No. Xtify can access your location even if your phone lacks GPS.
How do I install Xtify?
- Click Settings --> Mobile
- Follow the instructions to download
- Run Xtify and wait a few minutes for Xtify to begin updating
When does Xtify update my location? Xtify begins updating your location a few minutes after download and continues running in the background of your cell phone.
How do I turn off location updates? We recommend that you keep Xtify running in the background of your cell phone and set your location updates under Settings to "Off." Alternatively, turn off Xtify by clicking the Xtify icon on the desktop of your cell phone and selecting "Turn Off Location Updates."
Why is my location sometimes inaccurate? If your phone has GPS, your location may be inaccurate if you are indoors or around tall buildings. If your phone does not have GPS, we estimate a general location in relation to the nearest cell tower. This accuracy level is generally between 500 and 5,000 meters. meetMoi makes no guarantees about the accuracy of the data presented.
My location is not updating. What can I do? Confirm that Xtify is running by clicking the Xtify icon on your cell phone. Click on Manage Applications and choose meetMoi. Next, go to Settings and confirm that your location updates are set to "On." As a last resort, you may remove your cell phone's battery to restart updates. If your problems continue, please contact us. You can do so by clicking the Feedback link at the bottom of every page.
Will Xtify drain my phone's battery? Anytime you run a mobile application that consumes processing power, your battery may be used. If your battery is draining quickly, please let us know. You can do so by clicking the Feedback link at the bottom of every page.
How do I uninstall Xtify from my phone? On a Blackberry, follow these steps: 1. Select the icon for Applications on your home-screen. 2. Select the icon for Options. 3. Select "Advanced Options." 4. Select ""Applications." 5. Scroll down, highlight Xtify, and press the menu button, which may be located between the trackball and the call button. 6. Select "Delete". 7. Confirm "Delete."
